About wowalts.info

Since playing World of Warcraft from about December 2004, when Vanilla (the original) came out in Australia, I built up a legion of Alts.

To get to see all the different character types and different play styles. So it didn’t long to build up a large pool of characters.

Later it became hard to try and keep up with all the characters, details for them and other information I sometimes wanted to look up. And although you can log in to multiple characters, there wasn’t an easy way to see everything in one go.

Sure, there are some good Add-On’s that work in game to help with it, but sometimes I wanted some information when not in the game.

So I set about making some form of database to keep it all together.

Since “semi familiar” with Filemaker, I started making a basic set of information I wanted it to use, and the database grew from there.

Though, it’s still a large work in progress, I have added it as stand-alone Runtime Solution, which can be downloaded below.

You’re welcome to download it and run it. If there are some features you’d like to see, please feel free to email me and I’ll do my best to add it in.

(Or if you’re Filemaker expert and think some things can be done better, please feel free to email me to help as well!)

You can download this for free, and it should run fine in both Apple and Windows.

(It does use a font similar to World of Warcraft, so you’ll need to download that as well to have it display correctly. I’ve included a link to the font to download directly below, as well on the “Instruction” page of the database.

Thanks for looking, and I hope you find it useful.
